What We Do

NDSU Engineers Without Borders strives to provide basic human necessities all around the globe. Through our longstanding relationship with Guatemala, we’ve provided infrastructure that contributes to accessible medical supplies, clean drinking water, ongoing education, and regional prosperity.

Our Mission: Design - Connect - Serve

These 3 pillars define the opportunities that we strive to provide all students who join NDSU EWB. Our members gain valuable engineering experience as they get the opportunity to design real-world projects from start to finish. Throughout this time, students develop connections with peers and professionals in the industry and often find mentors who guide them throughout their college experience. Most importantly, our volunteers get the opportunity to serve communities worldwide while making memories that will last a lifetime. By focusing on these 3 words, we are building a strong network of students at NDSU with a servant’s heart and a desire to apply their education to change lives.

“I loved working on a project from start to finish because it helped me better understand the design process and the engineering world. Getting to work with other students who care so much about the project, the community, and their education made every day fun.”

— Joshua Zempke, Structures Lead Alumni
